Open coil springs, or Bonnell springs as the most common type are known, are the lowest cost, yet most hard wearing of the various springs types. However there are some very good quality open coil sprung mattresses available.
With open coil springs, each spring is linked to its neighbouring springs ensuring strength and durability. Open coil sprung mattresses usually only come in tensions from medium up to firm. This is because a soft open coil sprung mattress could cause the spine to curve. So if you like a soft mattress then it would be better to go for pocket sprung.

The Oriel mattress is a deep quilted medium mattress, made from 13.5 guage bonnell open coil spring unit, covered by deep layered upholstery, topped with a thick layer of nubond polyester, making the mattress soft and comfortable. A mid range mattress at a budget price.

The budget mattress is ideal for for occasional use, or for childrens beds. With a 13.5 gauge medium open coil spring unit. It is lightly quilted, then covered in a stitchbond fabric.

The Belle mattress is a lightly quilted open coil sprung mattress with 13.5 gauge bonnell open coil springs to give it a medium feel.

The Linnett mattress has been specially designed with hypoallergenic components including the heavy layers of fillings and the micro quilted damask fabric. It contains a 13.5 gauge open coil spring unit to give a medium feel.

The Silversafe mattress contains a 13.5 gauge open coil spring unit. It is then quilted with deep layers of Hypoallergenic fillings, and is covered in the Silversafe fabric with is interwoven with silver, with it's anti-microbial, and antistatic properties.

The Coral (Elitta) mattress is a higher standard than the Coral Budget mattress, containing far deeper layers of quilting than most waterproof mattresses on the market. The fabric is is breathable with a one way membrane which allows air to pass through the fabric, but won't allow liquids through.

The Violet mattress consists of a 2" layer of V60 visco elastic memory foam on top of 13.5 gauge Bonnell open coil springs to give a slightly firmer than medium feel. The memory foam layer moulds to your body without causing pressure points for better circulation and luxurious comfort. The Violet is 9" deep.

The Kozeesleep Coil mattress contains 50mm of memory foam on top of a Bonnell open coil spring system. This is then topped with Coolmax stress free fabric.

This Fiesta mattress is a member of Alba's Eleanor collection. It contains a 13.5 gauge Bonnell open coil spring system which is bonded with wire edge support, and insulated with Saturn pad and generously upholstered with layers of fire retardant upholstery to give a medium feel.

The Pinemaster is from Kozeesleeps Victoria range which is specially designed for metal or wodden slatted bedsteads. It is constructed from constructed from open coil springs topped with traditional fillings, and then micro quilted with a quality damask cover. Medium to firm feel.

The Tranqulity Stress Free mattress contains medium to firm open coil springs. It is then deep quilted with deep layers of hypoallergenic fillings, and covered in a four way stretch fabric that is designed to stretch to the shape of your body.

The Premier Plus mattress contains a firm open coil unit, topped with ultra high loft hypoallergenic fillings, and then deep quilted and finished with a high quality damask.

The Jolie mattress is a mid range open coil sprung mattress. It is hand tufted, and finished in a high quality damask.

The Kozeesleep Posturerite mattress contains a firm, 12.5 gauge, Bonnell open coil spring system. It is then quilted with layers of traditional fillings, and is then hand tufted in a quality damask fabric.

The Noir mattress by La Romantica is 10'' deep, and is hand tufted in a 4 way stretch material for all round comfort and support.
The fabric on the sides of the mattress is an attractive black stressed faux suede.
The mattress has a firm 12.5 gauge open coil spring base with a steel rod edge.

The Jubilee Mattress from Kozeesleep is an extremely deep 12". This is due to containing not one, but two layers of Bonnell open coil springs to give a truly luxurious sleeping experience, that you wouldn't normally find in an open coil sprung mattress.

The Carissa mattress is a 10" deep, microquiltd, firm mattress containing a 12.5 guage spring unit, with a steel rod edge for extra support. Although firm, it is still very comfortable due to it's very deep microquilting.
