Memory Foam was originally developed by NASA for the astronauts seats to prevent back injury caused by the massive G-Forces during take off. Visco Elastic Memory Foam has a very high density open celled structure. This means that it has excellent supportive properties, by moulding to the contours of your body, but without causing pressure points.
Here at The Mattress Emporium we actually specialise in high quality memory foam mattresses, and have carried out a great deal of research and development with our suppliers and customers to come up what we believe to be some of the best pocket sprung and memory foam mattresses on the market in the form of the Madrid and Venice.

The Madrid Mattress is 11" deep. It is made up from a medium to firm 6" 1000 pocket sprung (in a 5' king size mattress) layer. This then has 2" layers of visco elastic memory foam both top and bottom for ultimate support.

The Venice Mattress is 11" deep. It is made up from a medium 6" 1500 pocket sprung (in a 5' king size mattress) layer. This then has 2" layers of visco elastic memory foam both top and bottom for ultimate support.

The Shantay mattress contains 7" of reflex foam topped with 2" of V60 visco elastic memory foam, making it a total of 9" deep. The memory foam layer moulds to your body without causing pressure points for better circulation and luxurious comfort. The Shantay mattress is medium to firm.

The Violet mattress consists of a 2" layer of V60 visco elastic memory foam on top of 13.5 gauge Bonnell open coil springs to give a slightly firmer than medium feel. The memory foam layer moulds to your body without causing pressure points for better circulation and luxurious comfort. The Violet is 9" deep.

The Lovell mattress is 1000 pocket sprung (in a king size mattress), then topped with 2" of V60 visco elastic memory foam. The memory foam layer moulds to your body without causing pressure points for better circulation and luxurious comfort. The Lovell is 9" deep, and is a non turn mattress. The Lovell is slightly firmer than medium.

The Memory Pocket mattress contains 70mm of V55 viscoelastic memory foam on top of a 1000 pocket spring system (in a king size mattress), which is covered in a special breathable four way stretch fabric to give the support and comfort that can only be experience with a pocket sprung and memory foam combination.

The Cloud Nine mattress has a combination of reflex foam and natural latex in zones panels which is covered in a micro quilted knitted stretch fabric to give a unique sleeping experience designed to feel like sleeping on clouds.

The Memoryflex mattress by Healthbeds has become very popular since being awarded Which Magazine's 'Best Buy' award. It is constructed from 13cm of high density reflex foam, topped with 7cm of high density memory foam, and is covered with a Coolmax fabric.

The Lovell Coolmax Mattress is 1000 pocket sprung (in a king size mattress), then topped with 2" of V60 visco elastic memory foam. The memory foam layer moulds to your body without causing pressure points for better circulation and luxurious comfort. The Lovell is 9" deep, and is a non turn mattress. The Lovell is slightly firmer than medium. It is then covered on the sleeping surface with Coolmax fabric.

The Healthbeds Renoir Memory 1700 mattress contains 1700 individually pocketed springs (in a king size mattress). This is then topped with 50mm of high density Memoryflex memory foam. With a coolmax sleeping surface.

The All Seasons 1000 mattress has two different sides for winter and summer use. It has 2" of memory foam on one side covered with Climasmart climate control fabric. The other side contains traditional quilting for those hot summer nights when the memory foam (even covered with Climasmart) is just too hot. This is them complimented by 1000 full size steel pocket springs (in a king size mattress), for the ultimate in support.
